Introduction to Fees 2011
Medicare funding for Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Services such as Insemination, Ovulation Induction, IVF, ICSI and FET procedures bear out-of-pocket or ‘gap’ expenses. These treatments involve the services of several different health professionals who will bill separately for their respective services so you may receive accounts from the following sources: (a) Canberra Fertility Centre (b) Your Anaesthetist (c) The CAPS Clinic.
An individual patient’s account will depend on the procedure undertaken and the amount of medications used.
A detailed copy of the fee brochure can be found later in this page. Click on the tab titled “Download CFC Fees Booklet”. All other fees booklets are also available in pdf format.
The medicare rebate for Insemination (AIH/AID), IVF, ICSI and FET procedures is provided under global item numbers 13203/13200/13201/13218. These global item numbers cover the laboratory-based aspects of the treatment. The estimated out-of-pocket expenses below apply if you are Medicare eligible.
